Seems like a perfect time to do this at the start of tax season 🙄In an effort to improve services for all Marylanders, our agency is upgrading our tax system. During this upgrade, our customer service representatives will temporarily be unable to review information specific to your account or income tax filing. Something fun happens every tax season!

Nelson & Pelura LLC would like to formally invite you to the 110th annual tax filing party.
Everyone is going to be there – Congress, the IRS, FINCEN and all 50 states!
Don't miss it!

We hope everyone had a great 2023 and we look forward to an even better 2024. Tax season will officially open January 23, 2024 (I know you are excited). All filing deadlines are as follows:
• 1065, 1120S are due March 15th (extension deadline is September 15th)
• 1040, 1120's are due April 15th (extension deadline is October 15th)
• 990s are due May 15th (extension deadline is November 15th)

1099s are due out by February 1st. These forms are due for outside contractors and business that a business paid $600 or more to in 2023. In order to process these forms we will need, no later than January 15th, the following:
• Name, address, social security number or EIN and how much was paid.

There is also time for one more estimated tax payment to the IRS and the states (if need be). These are due by January 15th. Estimated taxes are becoming more important to pay as the IRS recently increased the underpayment penalty from 3% to 8%!
